“Through Images Toward Eternity”
What is Kinokkonik?. The name Kinokkonik is derived from two main ideas. The word Kinok is inspired by Kino, a term associated with film and cinema that originates in European linguistic traditions influenced by Greek. Meanwhile, Konik represents our vision of creating iconic works — films that are not only artistically compelling, but also leave a lasting impression and are remembered across generations. For us, Kinokkonik is more than just a name; it embodies a spirit of crafting cinematic works with strong identity, character, and timeless resonance.
Kinokkonik Films has gained international recognition through its film productions. In collaboration with Rolling Pictures, Its short film “SAAT” (2002) received international acknowledgement as an Official Selection at the First-Time Filmmakers Session @ Pinewood Studios, United Kingdom. SAAT
(Short | Experimental, Drama)
2022
A woman is driving a car with the help of an unknown man. As time passes, unexpected events begin to unfold.
Saat is a drama film with minimal or almost no dialogue, telling a story of altruism with a somber conclusion. The film challenges the conventional belief that only those suspected of malevolence are incapable of performing virtuous deeds, leading to an unexpected ending. It aims to show the audience that the realm of possibilities is vast and unpredictable. Additionally, the film highlights that acts of kindness and assistance, while well-intentioned, do not always lead to happiness. Sometimes, those who receive benevolence must face a harsh reality.
